One week later the idea had a name and a launch. Alpha Voice was unveiled by the Hon'ble Minister of MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu — who took the stage and spoke through the product itself, using the phone in his hand as the microphone — in front of government officials, entrepreneurs, investors and students.

A smartphone held anywhere in the hall — even right next to a PA speaker — sounds like a professional wireless mic. Automatic feedback suppression hunts the ringing frequency and kills it, the same job a hardware feedback destroyer does, in software. And because only one mic is ever live and it's muted between words, the feedback loop is physically broken most of the time. Our test bar: a phone one metre from a live PA, 60 seconds of speech, no audible howl.
