Automatic feedback suppression hunts the ringing frequency and kills it, the same job a hardware feedback destroyer does, in software. And because only one mic is ever live and it's muted between words, the feedback loop is physically broken most of the time. Our test bar: a phone one metre from a live PA, 60 seconds of speech, no audible howl.
