What is Alpha Expenses?
Alpha Expenses is the employee expense management app of the Alpha Business OS. Employees photograph a receipt and OCR fills in the claim; policy rules approve routine spend automatically and route exceptions to a manager; reimbursements are tracked to payout and posted to Alpha Ledger. Corporate cards can be issued from the same app.

How does receipt scanning work?
Employees photograph the receipt in the Alpha app; OCR reads the merchant, amount, date and tax so the claim is pre-filled and the receipt image is attached as evidence.
Can expense policies be enforced automatically?
Yes. Auto-approval rules define what is in policy by category, amount and role; in-policy claims are approved without manual review and exceptions are routed to a manager.
Does Alpha Expenses issue corporate cards?
Yes. Corporate card issuing is part of the app, so card spend appears as claims without a separate statement upload.
Does Alpha Expenses share data with the other Alpha Apps?
Yes. Every Alpha App runs on the same data layer, so Alpha Expenses reads and writes the same customers, products, people and ledger entries as Ledger, Approvals and Employees. Nothing is exported, imported or synced — a record updated in one app is already current in the rest.
