What is Alpha Purchase?
Alpha Purchase is the procurement and supplier management app of the Alpha Business OS. Purchase orders move through an approval workflow, suppliers confirm and invoice through their own portal, and 3-way matching checks the PO, the goods receipt and the invoice before anything is paid. Spend analysis shows where the money goes by vendor and category.

What is 3-way matching?
It is the check that a supplier invoice matches both the purchase order and the goods actually received before it is approved for payment. Alpha Purchase does it automatically and flags discrepancies.
Do suppliers need an Alpha account?
Suppliers use the vendor portal to view POs, confirm orders and submit invoices; they do not need a full Alpha user seat.
How does Alpha Purchase control spending?
PO workflows require approval before commitment, and spend analysis reports break down purchasing by vendor, category and period so uncontrolled spend is visible early.
Does Alpha Purchase share data with the other Alpha Apps?
Yes. Every Alpha App runs on the same data layer, so Alpha Purchase reads and writes the same customers, products, people and ledger entries as Inventory, Ledger and Approvals. Nothing is exported, imported or synced — a record updated in one app is already current in the rest.
